Shelter marketing followed a standard format: sad animals in black and white. That's not fair to shelter pets who are just as joyful as those from a breeder. So we launched an optimistic movement, shifting the message to the magnificence that all pets bring to people’s lives. This popular campaign lasted for over a decade and featured hundreds of unique illustrations. The Oregon Humane Society now has a nation-leading 98% adoption rate and 11,000+ annual adoptions.
